Hard Edge was founded to solve a very common issue. Extremely expensive academic training that leaves you underprepared for the job market.
I have been wanting to fix this for a very long time.
With over 15 years of experience teaching both in classrooms and online, my philosophy centers on empathy:
I approach every topic as if I am a student encountering it for the first time.
To enhance understanding, I use visual analogies and incorporate drawings during most of my lectures, everything flows and has an order.
My course structure links into the learning topics as smoothly as possible and so everything has a reason for being taught in that specific order.
Currently, I serve as a Lead Technical Artist the games industry. I am also an engineer and teach C++ and game development at the school. My specialties are in tooling, performance optimizations, gameplay systems and more.
Previously, I contributed to some of the largest movie and TV franchises within the VFX Industry.
As a technical problem solver, learning remains my greatest passion and pastime.
