Welcome to Hard Edge

Hard Edge is the culmination of over 15 years of teaching experience, from classrooms and online courses to pre-recorded videos, studio presentations, and conference talks. You name it, I’ve done it.

Teaching is something I’m deeply passionate about. At the end of the day, the only real legacy we leave behind is the impact we’ve had on others. I’m incredibly proud, and genuinely humbled, to know that thousands of students have learned from the content I’ve created over the years. From digital sculpting courses with Digital Tutors (now Pluralsight) to my most recent work at Vertex School mentoring dozens of students in both game development and technical art, I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand what it takes to build meaningful, lasting content for aspiring creators.

I’ve also landed quite a few students into jobs !

Over time, I’ve refined and evolved my teaching approach, and one principle has always guided everything I do: empathy. Great teaching starts with understanding the learner — their challenges, their goals, and the things that spark their curiosity.

This blog is still a work in progress, but it will grow into a space where I share insights on teaching, creativity, and technical art. Stay tuned — I’ll be writing much more soon, especially about why empathy sits at the very core of great teaching.
